After listening to the spoken word called “Dear Mum”, I am now reconsidering. I actually like this one more than the other two that we listened to on Monday. I am also thinking about doing an Analytical Essay. This format can be used to demonstrate a deep analysis of a poem because that’s what this essay is all about. In this type of essay, you analyze, examine and interpret such things as an event, poem, book, play or other forms of art. This format is unique because it will give readers a better understanding of the spoken word and provides a deeper analysis of it. I would like to know what led the author to write this poem and if he experienced anything that influenced his decisions. I want to analyze pieces in this spoken word that I can relate to. I feel like this was very deep and there’s a lot of parts that I can definitely connect with.
