Class Field Trip! “Rap Guide to Consciousness”

So, remember the first day of class when I mentioned that we have some money to go on a trip?  Well, that time has arrived finally. After taking into account the diversity of interests in the class, I found a show that I think would interest the majority of students:

Baba Brinkman’s Rap Guide to Consciousness is a one-man show, a “hip hop comedy” about neuroscience, or the workings of our brains. It is playing at the SoHo Playhouse located at 15 Vandam Street (between Varick Street and Sixth Avenue) in New York, NY. Here is a link to the show description. Click here to read reviews of the show.

If you are interested in attending, we need to select a date ASAP, and then the Humanities Alliance will purchase the tickets. They also will provide round-trip Metrocards for all students, so need to worry about transportation.

Below are the remaining dates for the show. Review them and leave a comment with the dates that you are NOT available. I would like to confirm the date by this Wednesday’s class.

Let’s try to get as large a turnout as possible!

UPDATE!! Based on today’s class discussion and your preferred availability, we are moving forward with the following groupings. Please look for your name below if you plan to attend.
