“Perfect” by Ed Sheeran is a fascinating song dedicated to her fiancée Cherry Seaborn. Throughout the lyrics he reveals his deep feelings concerning love, problems, past, and future of their story. This love relationship starts when they are of a fragile age in the old days of their childhood without knowing what this love was. He finds a girl “beautiful and sweet” and “stronger than anyone” whom will not give up on now that he becomes aware of the truly meaning of that old fondness. Despite the problems a couple may have they will “fight against all odds” and together hand by hand will solve all issues. They share the same interests, and “I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets To carry love, to carry children of our own”, depicts a portrait of an intense desire to have children and spend the rest of his life by enjoying every morning’s sunlight through her eyes. Those lyrics are extremely inspiring by making others want to build up a family. He displays his love in the lyrics, “When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful I don’t deserve this, darling, you look perfect tonight”, and “Now I know I have met an angel in person”. There is nothing of more romantic and precious words to address to the person he loves. It is implied that they are soulmate and their story will last on time. The charm of the chosen words makes most of the women wish of something so tender. His voice, the lyrics, the video clip, and rhythm make the song literally perfect except for a small detail noticed in the video clip. The part, “Baby, I’m dancing in the dark with you between my arms Barefoot on the grass”, do not match it. They are dancing on the snow but not on the grass, leaving space to various interpretations. Hopefully, their story will keep flourishing and never melt like the snowflakes continuing to spread their love all over the world and motivating other young couples. Overall, it is an outstanding well generated melody.
