As your instructor, I am committed to ensuring that all students are able to successfully participate in and complete this course. As Jenn Polish, a colleague and brilliant writer/teacher, notes in their syllabus, “Dis/abilities–(including those) ranging from anxiety to chronic pain–often go un-discussed in classroom settings, but my goal for this class is to foster a generative learning environment for each student.” If you are facing any issue that interferes with your ability to attend class or complete your coursework  (whether physical or mental health or dis/ability, finances, immigration status, language learning, family or partner violence, or anything else): Come talk to me. I will listen and work with you.

The college’s Wellness Center also provides support and guidance around coping with stress in college and in life (room C-249; email: WellnessCenter@lagcc.cuny.edu, phone 718-482-5471).

If you have a need for documented accommodation in this class, contact the Office for Students with Disabilities (room M-102; email OSD@lagcc.cuny.edu or phone 718-482-5279). Please let me know as soon as possible if you are planning to request accommodations.

Always feel free to reach out to me for additional guidance or assistance.
